Decker Brands dba Hoka One One must be the company with the worst management and PR team in the US. They screwed up and offered a 70% off coupon for certain Hooka products that was apparently targeted at REI employees. Being a developer, I stand by " they screwed up" since there ways to prevent an online coupon to be used by anyone else but the targeted audience. But they were either to technically inept or lazy to add that layer of protection and the coupon ended up on social media and let anyone place orders.
So they cancelled the orders with a fairly stern and not very courteous email. I would have handled this differently. Maybe send a nicer worded email with a token discount code. Not everybody that ordered was aware this was an error. I am an REI member, so with the message that flashed, I thought everything was fine until I got the stern cancellation. Ok I moved on, not happy, but ok.
What happened after that email let to this review. A few minutes after the cancellation, I got two emails stating your order has shipped and my card was charged. A few days later when it was to be delivered, I found out it was being intercepted and returned to Hoka. At that time it was in a UPS distribution center about 3 miles from my residence.
Then nothing. No release of my charge. After filing a complaint with my credit card, it was resolved in my favor, 10 days after they had their shoes back. So on all these order Decker collected the interest float of all the money they had sitting there.
It all leaves a bad taste. One wonders if Decker is an Arm of the companies that make you an offer that "you can not refuse" .
My wife is an avid runner and coach that leads runner training workshops. The two Hokas she has in her rotation, will be the last ones. There is Brooks, Adidas, Mizuni, Nike etc. Bye bye Hoka.
Screw up your unlimited use promo code, take orders (and money), ship orders, then recall orders in transit is the epitome of corporate pettiness. Just let it go and save yourself the embarrassment. Your shoes aren't worth that much, and you'll have to deep discount sale them at The Rack anyway. Screw Hoka.
Where is our parcel?? You got our money and you have shipped the parcel instead of Greece to Portugal!!! Now DHL unable to say if and when we will pick it up. No one is replying to our tickets and although we spoke over the phone with your agents and they reassured us that they will revert, you are ignoring us! Revert today or else we will have to report the entire process to the press and the authirities and ask for a refund!! We gave you a chance although we could buy with this huge amount fantastic shoes of one of the well known global brands and your behaviour is at least unacceptable and unprofessional . A professional company who kept us informed at all times. Fast delivery service, excellent product and would use them again as in my opinion they provided us with an excellent service.
Ordered shoes on the 15th of July, payment taken on the 15th of July, emailed on the 24th July asking why the shoes were not dispatched despite them saying on their website that they will be dispatched in 5 days, got a response three days later on the 27th saying they're going to look into it, and "escalate it to the appropriate department" (whatever that is). I then tried to cancel the order due to very slow response to emails, and I was told they cannot do despite the order not being dispatched, then I got another email a day later saying they will refund me after all, they said the order was lost despite it not being dispatched.
The shoes with plush cushioning are like heaven and customer service is great. I have so many foot pain issues and these slow me to walk for miles. I haven't been able to walk down my driveway for years. Now I'm mobile again! I'm now a customer for life!
Ordered shoes on 6/5 and paid for expedited shipping that would guarantee delivery between 6/11-6/12. Received an email on 6/9 that my order had been cancelled because they didn't have stock. Why was I able to place the order if they didn't have stock? Why did it take 4 days to let me know? Not to mention, they offered no concession for the inconvenience - free expedited shipping, a coupon? Ya know, basic customer satisfaction stuff??? Very poor first experience with them. Will not be purchasing Hoka One Ones.
